Ilya Scott

Ilya has 20 years of experience in public relations.

Ilya started her career working with an international managment consultancy, specialising in organisational communication. She had spells in the London, Melbourne and Hong Kong offices and worked on global communication strategies for organisations including: InterContinental Hotels, Cathay Pacific Airways and Dow Chemicals.

In 1995 she returned to her native Scotland and worked as a director with a leading PR agency before founding Real PR in 2000. She has a hands on approach to all of the agency's work across a wide range of industries. Her specialist expertise includes strategy development, media relations, issues and crisis PR and internal communication.

Recent campaigns include: a campaign to mark five years of Freedom of Information in Scotland; profile raising activity for a social enterprise organisation, Unity Enterprise and a succesful campaign to encourage residents of the Ise of Bute to vote for a community buy-out of part of their Island.

Joe Walton

BSc (Hons) Psychology, PgDip (Public Relations), ACIPR

Joe joined Real PR as a graduate trainee in 2005. During that time he has worked on secondment to Matthews Marketing and the Edinburgh Fringe as PR manager. He has gained a wide range of PR experience having managed accounts for FMCG brands such as Coca-Cola Enterprises, arts and heritage PR client like Charles Rennie Mackintosh and specialist business finance companies.

A Northumbrian by birth, Joe has been living in Scotland for over a decade. He takes a lot of interest in technology and Psychology and is as happy putting together a simple website as he is writing a feature article. He is often found attached to his phone or laptop trying out the latest application much the annoyance on everyone around him.

Recent campaigns include using 2D barcodes to deliver mobile tours, launching a burns supper appeal on top of Arthurs Seat and providing training to clients about using online communication channels.
