HIT Scotland Charity Golf Day 2010

Date: 04/05/2010

The annual Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland charity golf day will take at the recently renovated Kittocks Course at the Fairmont, St Andrews on the 12th May.

The shotgun tournament will start at 11am after breakfast in the hotel’s clubhouse. Teams of four will compete together, putting their best two scores forward for the HIT Scotland trophy. After the event players will be invited to the hotel for dinner and a prize giving.

The competition is being hosted by the Fairmont St Andrews to raise money for HIT Scotland. The course, rated number 40 in Golf Weekly ratings, includes some of the most beautiful holes in Scottish golf with unparalleled views as the course hugs the dramatic Fife coastline.

HIT Scotland raises money to help people achieve their potential for the benefit of the whole hospitality industry through bursary and scholarships schemes.  This year saw HIT Scotland award its first two golf tourism scholarships. The scholarships involve working with a large resort and international tour operator.

As well as fundraising through events like the golf day, HIT Scotland is supported by big names in the industry including Wiseman Dairies, Caterer.com, Prestige Scotland, Enterprise Rent a Car, Swisscom and Brakes Fresh Ideas.

Entry costs £360 per four ball team. Individual places are also welcome. Overnight accommodation in the St Andrews Bay Fairmont Hotel is available at a reduced rate.
