Celebrity Florist Designs Table Centres

Date: 13/03/2012

Celebrities including Katie Melua, Kirsty Wark and Fred MacAuley lent a hand and some inspiration to  florist Nick Priestly who gave this year’s Scottish Woman of Influence Awards, held on 11 March at Mar Hall, near Glasgow, a stunning makeover inspired by the Women of Influence themselves. Using only orchids, Nick designed 32 different table centres representing past winners, this year's nominees, sponsors and a host of personalities.

2,000 orchid stems worth £8,000 were used to decorate the venue and 350 of Scotland’s most influential women enjoyed the effect.

Nick worked with each of the 32 individuals on designs which represented them or their interests. This saw him travelling the length and breadth of the country meeting, conceptualising and designing the centrepieces with the likes of Katie Melua, Kirsty Wark, Fred MacAuley and Liz McColgan.
