The long illustrious history of Public Relations (PR)

Public Relations (PR) is often thought to have started the likes of Ivy Lee and Edward Bernays at the start of the 20th Century.

This video infographic by Press Index suggests the roots of PR go far deeper.

As well as providing some classic example of Real PR (excuse the pun) at work it sets out a challenge for the future of PR as well. While technology is shaping how we make contact with audiences, there is an awful lot to be learnt from history. After all, the fundamentals of great communication never change.
